Finding your inner compass

One of the most significant turning points in my life was learning the absolute necessity of putting myself first, no matter the situation. I realized that ultimately, I am the only one who won't let myself down, provided I trust and genuinely listen to my inner voice. This cannot be true if you're not 100% honest with yourself, as self-deception often leads to prioritizing others' opinions or external desires over your true wants and or needs. This realization became my unwavering compass. I also finely was able to see what my energy was separated from others, how I truly felt/thought about things, and not attaching or devoting my time to someone/something else above myself first. It sounds odd to some but truly was the most unselfish selfish thing I could have ever done. By putting myself first I was able to fully recover from burnout and other things. Allowing me to give more of myself when I was able. Instead of running on only a small percentage of myself, pouring that into others, and fragmenting me further.

Lessons from life's tapestry

Life's journey is a tapestry woven with threads of triumph and challenge. My most profound takeaway is that while experiences can be incredibly difficult and may not unfold as we expect it to/want it to, cultivating understanding allows us to see how things often work out as they need to. That can be very difficult to believe or understand especially during the situation.  Every moment, every obstacle, is either a lesson or a blessing for ourselves and or others. Often the most significant blessings emerge from the hardest lessons. This philosophy has guided me through every twist and turn in life and has helped me to not carry unnecessary burdens in life that used to weigh me down. Not saying that the things that we hold onto are not relevant but I was holding on past time needed. Everyone's journey is different and some of us need more time and that is alright too.  It's also allowed me to recognize the different types of people in our life; Leaf (they don't last long just a season and that's okay), Branch ( they are still there when some pressure is applied but there is a breaking point), and Root (they are deep connections and generally last a lifetime.) People will let you know who they are by their actions not just words. When they do believe them it can and will save all involved time and unnecessary hurt.  That being said doesn't mean that people can't/won't change but their actions will show you that as well.

Embracing simplicity, finding clarity

Another transformative experience came when I began to strip away external distractions – the noise, material possessions, and the overwhelming opinions of others – and started to rely solely on a higher power within. In this process, I discovered profound happiness with much less, and the chaos and confusion that once clouded my mind began to dissipate. This shift brought immense clarity and peace, showing me the true richness found in simplicity and inner connection. It also allowed myself the proper time to heal and not just band aid the situation.

My hope is to show you that no matter what negative experiences you face, you don't have to let them define you. I've been through so much, yet I still hold onto hope, and I want you to realize that you can too.
